The "Alumni Reunion" program, organized for the first time by the Career Development Application and Research Center of Kastamonu University, brought together alumni from different periods of our university on the same campus after many years. 

The event, organized to maintain communication among our alumni, increase the sharing of experiences, and strengthen the bond between our University and our alumni, was held on June 12, 2026, at the Hoca Ahmet Yesevi Cultural Center. 

The program was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük, Director of the Career Development Application and Research Center Dr. Faculty Member Murat Konuk, our academic staff, and our graduates. The program began with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem, followed by the screening of the promotional film of Kastamonu University. 

Delivering the opening speech of the program, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük stated that one of the most important stakeholders of universities is their alumni, and expressed that the first Alumni Meeting organized in this regard is an important step.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ömer Küçük said, "We are here today not only to remember the past but also to reconnect our shared values, lay the groundwork for new collaborations, and maintain the bond between our University and our alumni." We are happy to be together again with our graduates who studied on the same campus and were part of the same corporate culture. 

Stating that graduates have taken on important roles in public institutions, the private sector, academia, and various fields of work, Küçük emphasized that the graduates' knowledge and experience are valuable to the University. 

After the opening speech, a presentation and information session about the Alumni Information System was conducted by Ufuk Acı and Onur Altıntaş, personnel from the Information Technology Department. In the presentation, information was shared about the digital infrastructure that allows graduates to maintain their communication with the University. 

As part of the event, alumni shared their memories of their university years and also shared their educational and career experiences gained after graduation with the participants. Graduates working in different sectors had the opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences with students and other alumni. 

As part of the program, our alumni shared their career journeys and post-graduation experiences with participants, offering advice to students and young graduates. In the subsequent interview and Q&A session, the alumni shared their experiences gained from their university years to the present. 

Additionally, at the event, the Director of the Career Development Application and Research Center, Assist. Prof.Dr. Murat Konuk presented the graduates with badges.

At the end of the program, participants gathered for a mini-concert featuring a musical performance.
