According to the university-based support statistics published by the TÜBİTAK Research Support Programs Directorate (ARDEB) covering the years 2021-2025, Kastamonu University ranked among the top universities in its region in terms of project applications, the number of supported projects, and project budgets.
According to ARDEB data, our University submitted a total of 491 project applications in the 2021-2025 period. Of these applications, 72 were eligible for support, and the number of ongoing projects during the same period increased to 73. While the total budget of the ongoing projects was recorded as 73 million 594 thousand 468 TL, the total amount of support allocated to the projects was 44 million 73 thousand 370 TL.
When examining data on higher education institutions, our University ranked 48th among 204 universities in Turkey and placed in the top 25% in terms of research support performance.
In his evaluation of the subject, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, stated that the University's research and project activities continue to yield results.
Our Rector stated, "We see the results of the efforts we have undertaken to promote a culture of scientific research and projects at our university." ARDEB data shows that our academics' project development capacity and scientific productivity have increased. "We continue our work in the field of research and development, in addition to our educational activities."
Touching on the support mechanisms for researchers, our Rector stated, "Through project training, incentive applications, and institutional support, we aim for our academics to benefit more from national and international funding sources."
