As part of the Yunus Emre Institute (YEI) Turkish Summer School Program, 15 international participants from 15 different countries gathered for dinner with our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal.
The dinner program, held in a friendly atmosphere, was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Selahattin Kaymakcı, TÖMER Director Prof. Dr. Mehmet Onur Hasdedeoğlu, TÖMER Deputy Director Instructor N. Demet Demirel, Head of the Health, Culture, and Sports Department Mehmet Sena Aygül, Faculty of Education Turkish Education Department Lecturer Dr. İbrahim Fatih Demirel, and YEE Representative and Program Coordinator Tarık Kaya.
Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, who closely engaged with the participants throughout the program, chatted with guests from various countries who attended our University as part of the Turkish Summer School.
Our Rector, stating that the Turkish Summer School Program is a valuable program that contributes not only to language education but also to the coming together of different cultures, mentioned that the academic and cultural gains participants will acquire in Turkey will help establish lasting friendship ties between their countries and Türkiye.
Within the framework of the Turkish Summer School Program, organized in collaboration with YEE, participants from 15 countries have the opportunity to learn Turkish at our University while also getting to know the historical, cultural, and natural riches of our country, especially those of our province, up close. During the program, participants not only get to know our culture closely through various social and cultural activities alongside their language education, but also experience intercultural interaction with friends from different countries.
During the dinner program, the participants shared their feelings and thoughts about the Turkish Summer School process, expressed their satisfaction with being at our University, and thanked our Rector for his interest and hospitality.
At the end of the program, the YEE Representative and Program Coordinator, Tarık Kaya, presented a gift to our Rector in commemoration of the day, and the program concluded with a group photo.
