From The President

Dear Friends;

Education aims at promoting such values as respect for the humanity, loyalty to the country, responsibility for the society as well as preparing the individual for the future by qualifying him with essential knowledge.

University, the final phase of formal education, undertakes the responsibilities as being the core of science, utilizing and generalizing the scientific data acquired for the good of society, making the scientific thinking effective in the administration of the country. 

Kastamonu University, which regards Atatürk’s Principles as its utmost and indispensible basis, is determined to overcome the hardships by enforcing the existing conditions, utilizing the social interaction without making such excuses as insufficient financial resources or inadequate facilities, and the university has taken its place in the scientific arena with the help of social cooperation and rationalist and scientific studies.

We have a high opinion of educating our students as individuals who are knowledgeable and well-equipped in his/her field, devoted to social and universal values, sensitive to and interested in cultural and artistic acquisitions and beneficial to his/her country in particularly and humanity in general. 

Universities are not the institutions that are isolated from the society in which they exist. In this respect, universities are obliged to adopt a sound public relations approach and speed up the process of mutual interaction with the public.

I believe, our web site, which was constructed under the above mentioned purposes, will serve for the institutional communication effort, and I hope the web site will improve continually in parallel with the university, and will be beneficial.
